令人頭痛的混合版：(只要記住the為限制特定範圍，就好記瞜！)

One…, the other 「一個…兩個中的另一個」
舉例：Without one, the other suffers; together, both provide clarity and truth.( 這兩種行為結合在一起提供了明晰和真理，是缺一不可的。)

One…, the others 表示「特定範圍中的一個…, 特定範圍中剩餘的全部」
舉例：I saw four sweaters. One is red and the others are blue.(我看到四件毛衣，一件是紅的，其他三件是藍的)

One…, another…, and the other 表示有三個對象時，「一個…一個…另一個」
舉例：The CD player has three sound effects. One is pop, another is jazz and the other is rock.( 這台CD機有三種音響效果。一種是流行，另外一種是爵士，還有一種是搖滾。)

※如果要四不同對象，就是 One…, another…, another…, and the other 如此延續下去
舉例：I saw four sweaters. One is red, another is blue, another is white, and the other is green.( 我看到四件毛衣，一件是紅的，一件是藍的，一件是白的，一件是綠的。(因為每個顏色不同，所以一一點出)

One…, another…, and the others 表示為「一個…一個…剩下的全部」
舉例：I saw four sweaters. One is red, another is blue, and the others are white.(我看到四件毛衣，一件是紅的，一件是藍的，其他是白的(白色數量超過一件，不需要一一點出)

Some…, others… 為「有些…另一些…」
舉例：Although an offensive term to some, others consider it a positive sign of society’s increasing acceptance of older women’s sex appeal.(一些人認為這個詞有點冒犯，不過另一些人認為它說明社會認可年長女性的魅力，具有積極意義。)

Some…, the others「有些…其餘的另一些..」
舉例：Some speak French, the others speak Japanese. ( 有些人講法語，其餘的人講日語。)
